In medical terms, the first week of pregnancy is typically considered to be the week of a woman’s last menstrual period (LMP), even though conception and fertilization haven’t occurred yet….
During the first week of pregnancy, conception has not occurred yet as it is counted from the first day of the woman’s last menstrual period (LMP). Ovulation typically happens around the middle of the menstrual cycle, and if fertilization occurs during this time, a zygote forms and starts its journey down the fallopian tube toward the uterus for potential implantation.
